Sophie Pagès

Born and bred in a tech orientated city, Montpellier in the south of France, she got a Master in Marketing and CRM and worked since in the IT industry. She has been working in different roles as a consultant helping with all the project phases, as a Business Analyst, and also as a Marketing Manager for a predictive analytics company, helping them to launch a new solution. She will be the statistical lead, and the main link between the different actors.

Jacobus Langner

Jacobus grew up in South Africa and attended NMMU where he graduated with a BSC in computer science and applied mathematics. As a tech enthusiast, he is all the time upgrading his skills as a full stack developer. He has worked in time constrained projects and adept of Agile methodology. He will create the necessary infrastructure for this project, work on the needs for the local IT industry and ensure that the project stay on track.

Code 4 CT Data Science facilitator

This year, Sophie and Lerato was facilitating the data science course, where the grade 11 learn about how to create a study, basic descriptives statistics and an introduction to Python. This week long course was held with Masterclasses from Lwande to help them to understand how data science is used in real world and followed by an industry immersion.

We studied the customer behaviour ( acquisition and retention ) since the launch of the new website and help to refine the report in Google Analytics

Hambasafe Participant

We took part of a 48th hackathon held in Cape town. The challenge was to create a community driven app, helping people to get safety in numbers while commuting, running or just walking.

Code 4 CT Mentor

The aim of Code 4 CT is to encourage girls to use technology to create solutions to social issues. Being able to take part of the mentoring sessions and sharing experiences to the girls to make them realize than IT sector is not as daunting as imagined and leading to new careers inspirations.

Nino’s mourning tools app available on Google Play

The app has been created to help kids overcome the loss of a loved one, this project was part of World Design Capital 2014. This app was our first project and gave us the taste for project who can make a difference on people’s life.
